County staff briefed the Osage County Commission May 13 about the county’s current CivicPlus website package and recommended inviting the vendor to present upgraded packages and feature options. Staff said the county purchased a basic, entry‑level CivicPlus package initially to replace an older hosted site and that departments never completed a multi‑departmental rollout or feature customization after staffing changes.
Staff described higher‑tier CivicPlus installations in other jurisdictions as providing more user‑friendly tools and additional features for departments. Commissioners and staff agreed that the vendor should be asked to present the available feature packages, pricing and examples from comparable counties so that departments can identify functional needs before any upgrade or additional purchase.
No purchase or contract amendment was approved at the meeting; staff was directed to request a vendor presentation and to compile departmental requirements.
