A Harbor Department staff member filling in for Waterfront Director Greg Kapovich told the Harbor Commission on May 12 that the recent Beach Life Festival drew more than 33,000 attendees over three days and produced no major police incidents, and gave updates on multiple waterfront infrastructure projects.
"It was a giant success," the staff member said, reporting estimated attendance of about 10,300 on Friday, 12,100 on Saturday and 11,200 on Sunday and adding that incidents were limited mainly to dehydration-related medical calls.
