Valley County commissioners voted May 12 to appoint Grant Magnum to the Valley County Waterways Committee, contingent on receiving the resignation of the committee member Mister Turlington.
The motion to appoint Magnum included the contingency and was moved, seconded and approved by voice vote. Commissioners said they would ask for Turlington’s resignation if he remains unable to attend and that staff would publicize the vacancy if the resignation is not immediately received.
Commissioners discussed membership balance on the waterways committee and said they wanted geographic representation across the county. Staff said they are working to recruit additional members and would publish the vacancy if needed.
