The Richardson City Council on a regular meeting night recognized the winners of the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. essay contest and the Black History Month art contest, awarding certificates and publishing rights to students across grade levels.
Mr. Magner, a city staff member overseeing the program, introduced the contestants and judges and said, “we are extremely excited tonight to welcome all of our guests in the audience, both the winners of the contest this year, as well as their family and friends.” The program was presented by city staff with partnerships from the Richardson and Plano Independent School Districts, the University of Texas at Dallas and several city commissions.
