Code enforcement: rabies clinic turnout strong; dog-pound activity and neglect seizure reported

The officer said three animals were returned to their owners, one animal was euthanized and three animals were seized from an individual on neglect allegations. As noted in the report, some animals remain unclaimed and the officer is attempting to contact owners.
At the rabies clinic the officer reported 80 county dog licenses were purchased (clinic-season sales), 155 animals received rabies vaccinations and 31 animals were microchipped. The officer described high participation and said turnout exceeded last year’s clinic.
