Doctor Hopkins presented three procurement and property items the board approved during the special-called session.
Chillers: Hopkins said two portable chillers had been rented and installed to serve Clover High School after parts for older chillers could not be sourced. He asked the board to approve the rental and installation through delivery of replacement chillers in an amount not to exceed $264,042, covering installation and removal fees and an estimated monthly rental fee for both units for up to one year. The board approved the request.
Sewer easement assignment: Hopkins said ACEGM Holdings LLC (builder/developer for the Aberforth and Avonlea developments) had changed builders and requested the previously granted forcemain sewer easement be assigned in ACEGM—s name. Staff said legal review found the draft consistent with the earlier easement. The board approved assignment of the forcemain sewer easement to ACEGM Holdings LLC, Adam Fiorenza.
Quitclaim deed: Hopkins said the district had previously been granted a sewer easement from Allison Creek Partners during pump-station construction; as the pump station is to be turned over to the county, the district must return the easement to the developer. The board approved a quitclaim deed returning the sewer easement to Allison Creek Partners LLC.
Each of the three items was presented as an administrative approval and taken with no recorded roll-call tally in the public transcript; the board chair stated each was approved after asking for objections.
