Baldwin Park schedules museum grand reopening with AAPI celebration Thursday

Hernandez said the reopening will coincide with the city’s Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month programming and will include cultural performances, arts and crafts, and an art display in the gallery. The event is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m., with staff‑guided tours and a ceremony upstairs; the museum will remain open that evening.
Staff encouraged group or school visits by appointment and said they will continue to rebuild the museum’s volunteer docent program. Hernandez also asked residents with potential donations to contact the museum for review and intake procedures.
