Unionville-Chadds Ford board approves 2025-26 general fund budget, sets millage increase

The Unionville-Chadds Ford School District board voted unanimously on May 12 to approve the 2025–26 proposed final general fund budget, setting total appropriations at $108,417,731 and adopting millage rates that generate a weighted average increase of 3.92%.
During the work session, Mr. Short presented the budget figure and reported millage rates for each county portion of the district: Chester County at 33.91 mills (an increase of 3.99%) and Delaware County at 19.25 mills (an increase of 3.66%). The board chair called for a voice vote; the motion passed 9–0.
Board and finance staff said the proposed final budget was identical to the version presented at the prior week's budget meeting and that no changes were made. The administration said local revenue projections remained on track for the fiscal year and staff will continue to report monthly revenue analysis.
The formal adoption means the district can finalize tax notices and begin operating under the 2025–26 appropriations. Board members did not raise amendments during the work session; the motion was made and the vote recorded as unanimous.
