As part of commission and staff reports, the Planning Commission heard that City Council had overturned the Planning Commission’s earlier approval of the West Covina Medical Center behavioral health/psychiatric facility. Community Development staff reported that the applicant may resubmit a modified proposal; until then, the project is not active in the city’s queue.
Staff also announced community events and preparations: the summer concert series will begin June 18 at 6 p.m. in the Civic Center Courtyard, and the city has hired a contractor to etch names on the Veterans Memorial prior to Memorial Day as part of the Arts in Public Places program. No formal actions were taken on these reports.
The commission adjourned at 8:15 p.m.
