Council votes to allow planning commission to consider City Center South parcels in amended master plan

Discussion and limits: Council members said the action does not represent final disposition or sale of any city-owned property; it only allows those parcels to be considered in planning commission hearings. Bliss said the planning commission intends to be deliberative and may consolidate hearings so the city and public can review the whole proposal together. The city attorney participated in earlier planning commission meetings and advised the commission's approach was within parameters, a staff member told the council.
