The Placerville City Council adopted an ordinance approving the city’s fire hazard mitigation zone maps after staff said no changes were required following prior discussion and consultation with CAL FIRE.
City staff (presented by Mr. Morris) said CAL FIRE had not provided any further changes since the council’s prior meeting and that staff recommended waiving the second reading and adopting the ordinance. No public comment was offered on the item.
A motion to adopt the ordinance per staff recommendation was moved and seconded; a roll-call vote recorded unanimous approval (Councilmember Carter — Aye; Councilmember Nell/Noe — Aye; Councilmember Yarbrough — Aye; Vice Mayor Gopburg/Gottberg — Aye; Mayor Clerici/Claricci — Aye). The council adopted the ordinance that evening and staff will implement the approved maps.
Staff presented no additional map revisions and noted that CAL FIRE had not provided further comment in time for the meeting.
