Key votes and items at a glance:
- Aspen Grove final plat (Agenda item 8): Council approved a final plat submitted by Gate City Builders represented by Sunrise Engineering to subdivide roughly 5.56 acres at 2806 South Fifth Avenue into nine lots, subject to staff conditions. Motion to approve was moved by Council Member Mansfield and seconded by Council Member Paulson; the roll call approved the plat.
- USDOT Rural and Tribal Assistance (RTA) pilot program grant ratification (Agenda item 9): Council ratified a $500,000 grant application to the U.S. Department of Transportation to fund a municipal services impact analysis; staff said there is no local match required. - Professional services agreements and project awards: The council approved a $175,000 professional services agreement with Davie Resource Group to develop an urban forest plan funded by a U.S. Forest Service Urban and Community Forestry Grant (Agenda item 12); approved a local professional services agreement with Keller Associates Inc. for construction inspection services on the Monte Vista to Pocatello Creek Road Pathway Project (Agenda item 13); and accepted the low bid from Vortex Services LLC in the amount of $428,995 for the North Main Extension Sewer Project with change orders allowed up to 5% of the project total (Agenda item 15). Motions and seconds were recorded for each item and each passed on roll call.
Most items were routine approvals of staff recommendations; staff noted funding for the sewer project was included in the FY25 Water Pollution Control budget and that the Monte Vista pathway match was covered by a local nonprofit partner. Council did not discuss or modify the grant application for the USDOT RTA pilot grant during the vote.
