Draft 'community health' chapter offers goals on environmental justice, access and safety

City planning staff gave a public briefing to the Sustainability Commission on draft goals and policies for the "community health" chapter of Eugene’s comprehensive plan and asked the commission for feedback.
"The comprehensive plan guides the city and its land use planning for future growth within their urban growth boundary," Stuart Warren, associate planner on the community plan design team, told commissioners. Warren said the community-health chapter is still in draft form and is intended to focus on the elements that the land-use system can influence.
