Lisa Foster, City of Evansville Department of Metropolitan Development staff, described the project as a continuation of a multi-year program to replace and improve historic decorative lighting. "We are looking to do another grant as they are ready to start the seventh phase of the lighting changing out in the Old Historic District," Foster said. "This has been going on for a number of years, and now we're the seventh phase."
The board moved and seconded approval and adopted the contract by voice vote. The item was presented as a grant-funded project to continue previous lighting upgrades; the meeting record did not include a funding breakdown or schedule for the work.
