Council approves agreement with Waterbug Ski Team for Idle Isle events after clerical fixes

The Muskego City Common Council approved a 2025 agreement with Waterbug Ski Team Incorporated on April 22 for show and practice dates at Idle Isle, after staff corrected clerical errors in the draft that affected dates and removed the phrase that would have limited use of a ski jump.
Staff told the council that the dates shown at the top of the packet had been corrected to match the dates listed in the agreement and that the provision describing “jump only” use was removed because state law does not permit restricting water access in that way. Staff confirmed the ski jump would be anchored at Idle Isle as in previous years. The team remains responsible for insurance and for safety when shows are taking place.
A council member asked whether the number of show and practice dates had changed from the prior year; staff said they could not answer from memory and that the dates in the request are what the team requested this year.
The council approved the agreement unanimously.
