The Hooper City Planning Commission on March 13 approved a conditional use permit for an oversized storage structure totaling 2,000 square feet at 5994 West, 5900 South, after staff described the application as meeting setback and height requirements and the applicant confirmed the building will be used for private storage.
Planning staff said the structure complies with the city's height limit and setback requirements and that the applicant indicated no electrical or plumbing would be installed at this time. Applicant Rhett Hickman told the commission the building will be used for storage of personal items such as boats and similar equipment and confirmed the owner understands that any future electrical or plumbing work will require separate city permits.
No public commenters spoke on the item. Commissioner Prince moved to approve the conditional use permit; the motion was seconded and carried on a voice vote.
