Mariani Ranch appeal withdrawn; scheduled public hearing canceled

Chairperson Amy Escobar announced the hearing would proceed on the Mariani Ranch appeal (file PLN24154SB330A, ID number 123924) describing the proposal as a major subdivision and grading approval for a total of 374 units — including 298 single-family homes and 76 duplexes — on approximately 58.6 acres spanning three parcels in Morgan Hill (APNs 728-330-08, 728-330-09 and 728-330-11). The application list named the applicant as Mona Camden Fund LLC and owners as Andrew Mariani, Mitchell L. Mariani, Sylvia H. Cook and Lydia V. Palmer.
After staff reported that the appellant had withdrawn the appeal, Escobar said, "The appeal has been withdrawn which cancels this public hearing." County counsel confirmed there was no additional action required to memorialize the withdrawal.
No public testimony was taken on the item because the hearing was canceled. The commission did not take further action on the Mariani Ranch application at the April 24 meeting.
