Council appoints Active Transportation alternate and library trustee; three strong applicants vied for library seat

The Saint Helena City Council made two personnel appointments on April 22. Emma Leggett was appointed unanimously as an alternate member of the Active Transportation & Sustainability Committee. The council interviewed three applicants for one open seat on the Library Board of Trustees—Courtney Fletcher, John Flynn and Anne Whiting—and appointed Courtney Fletcher by unanimous vote.
Council members praised all three library applicants for their qualifications and encouraged those not appointed to remain engaged and apply for future openings. The appointments will be formalized via the standard administrative channels and the appointees will be seated per committee bylaws.
