Board members discussed the Deer Creek drainage history and noted that earlier regional drainage agreements limited how much water could be sent across state lines; historically, oversize pipes installed on the Minnesota side were later fitted with restrictor plates to maintain designed flows. Supervisors asked staff to locate watershed records and consult the NRCS and the Minnesota engineer who recommended the twin pipes.
On drainage maintenance, the board approved multiple repair and cleanout requests presented by staff. Motions passed to repair a blowout on D D 79 (contractor: Kyle Rohloff), to clean and repair a main tile with two blowouts on another district, to coordinate with the railroad on District DD45 track‑area drainage, to issue a work order for a beaver dam removal on GD19, and to clean out DD1. Supervisors also approved a repair request on a separate blowout and other routine maintenance items.
