The Douglas County Board of County Commissioners took a number of routine but formal actions during the May 1, 2025 meeting. All of these motions passed unanimously.
- The Board approved on‑site unrestricted retail liquor license for The Clubhouse NV LLC d/b/a The Clubhouse (1029 Riverview Drive, Gardnerville). The Sheriff's Office reported no opposition. Motion carried unanimously.
- The Board approved an unrestricted mobile liquor license for Dancing Deer LLC d/b/a Spirits of the Deer (2299 Main Street, Suite 1, Genoa), owner/manager Sarah Roth. The Sheriff's Office reported no opposition. Motion carried unanimously.
- The Board approved draft minutes for the regular meeting of March 20, 2025 and special budget meetings of March 24 and March 25, 2025.
- The Board approved the consent calendar (items A–M) as presented.
- Appointments: The Board appointed Anne Carroll as a community‑at‑large member to the Senior Services and Public Transit Advisory Board for a term from May 2025 through 12/31/2026. The Board appointed Tim Glennor to the Douglas County Advisory Board to Manage Wildlife for a term expiring 12/31/2027 and asked staff to solicit additional applicants for the second vacancy.
Other short votes at the meeting (covered in separate articles) included approval of the UNR Cooperative Extension budget, airport rate resolution R‑38, budget augmentation R‑36, a three‑year interlocal with Carson City for environmental health services, a 25‑year franchise with Southwest Gas, and adoption of a county code of conduct.
