The Salinas Airport Commission welcomed two newly sworn commissioners — Jonathan Seguil and Brian Contreras — and approved the meeting's consent agenda by roll call.
Chairperson Bennett welcomed the new commissioners and staff confirmed both had been sworn in. Jonathan Seguil introduced himself as a Salinas resident who operates the restaurant at the airport (the Flying Artichoke) and said he and his family have worked at the airport for years. Brian Contreras said he was born and raised in Salinas, works as a manager for Pacific Gas and Electric Company and runs a small embroidery and engraving business in the city.
The commission then moved to adopt the consent items. The motion on the record was: "I move we accept the consent items as published." A second was recorded on the audio. In the roll call, Commissioner Bigham, Commissioner Contreras, Commissioner Seguil and Commissioner Schumacher voted "aye." Commissioner MacGregor was recorded as absent. The chair declared the motion carried.
No substantive policy items were adopted as part of the consent agenda during the recorded portion of the meeting.
