Roseville names Nate Gibbs as Parkview Center School principal

The Roseville Area Schools administration introduced Nate Gibbs as the next principal of Parkview Center School during the April 22 board meeting.
Associate Superintendent Melissa Sonnick announced that Gibbs was selected following a multi-step hiring process with stakeholder input and student participation. "After an extensive search, a lot of listening to stakeholders, and a rigorous interview process, we are thrilled to announce that Nate Gibbs will be the next principal at Parkview," Sonnick said.
Gibbs told the board he is ‘‘a third-generation public servant— whose leadership centers students and community." He described his background in school administration and said students and families played a substantive role in the final interviews: "Students who don't usually engage engaged with Nate," the administrative introduction noted; students and staff who participated in the hiring process described his interactions as "mindful, relatable, and authentic."
The appointment was presented to the board as an informational introduction; the administration did not record a formal board vote during the meeting on this slideshow-style introduction. Gibbs will join the Parkview community and begin work subject to district onboarding procedures.
