Oxnard City councilmembers nominate two residents to Measure O oversight panel

Louie Lopez, city clerk, told the Oxnard City Council that the mayor is recommended to make several appointments to the city’s citizen advisory groups, including two nominations to the Measure O citizen oversight committee.

The Measure O citizen oversight committee reviews use of Measure O revenues approved by the City Council. The committee has nine members: one at-large member appointed by the mayor, six members appointed by council districts, one member active in a business organization representing the city’s business community, and one member active in a neighborhood council or neighborhood association. Members must reside in the city and be at least 18 years old.

Councilwoman Basua nominated Dan Pinedo to represent District 5 on the Measure O oversight committee. Councilwoman Perez nominated Ann Marie Cabrera (listed in the meeting transcript as “Anne Marie Cabrera”) to represent District 6. Lopez said, “The recommendation is that the mayor, with the approval of the city council, make the following appointments,” and read the two nominations into the record.
