Robbinsdale Area Schools informed the board April 22 that Director of Transportation Carrie Johnson has submitted her resignation effective next week and that the district has posted the position.
Chief Financial Officer Kristen Wolfaisel said the district is required to post the vacancy for 10 days and will follow hiring procedures. Because spring schedules (sports, field trips and summer planning) create near-term operational demands, Wolfaisel said the district planned a short-term contract with CISO to provide director-level services; she said Carrie Johnson will be available to provide some of those services remotely until a permanent replacement is hired.
Board members were asked to monitor transportation opt-in communications; Director Holmes reminded families to respond to opt-in texts and alerts so the district can finalize routes and staffing.
No vote was required; the item was informational and described the interim plan and hiring timeline.
