Hawkins County Board approves 2025–26 salary scale and second draft of school budget

The Hawkins County Board of Education voted on May 1, 2025 to approve the 2025–26 teacher and staff salary scale and adopt the second draft of the 2025–26 annual school budget in a combined roll-call vote.
Board members combined the two items into a single motion and held a roll-call vote called by the board recorder. The roll call in the transcript records affirmative votes from Board Member Christian, Board Member Craddock, Board Member Gorlova, Board Member Lance, Board Member Speaks and Board Member Shannon.
