Planner Randy Hines explained the easement was created by a series of parcel maps dating to 1993 and that the 30-foot perimeter easement includes a setback that currently overlaps an existing residence. "Their house actually sits within that setback, and they actually want to build some additional structures on their property, which fall in that road... setback," Hines told the board. He reported that adjacent property owners consented, the fire marshal had no objections, and utilities (CCComm and Charter) responded with no objections.
After no public comment, a motion to approve the abandonment "subject to conditions listed in the staff report" was moved and seconded and carried with an affirmative voice vote.
Ending: The board's approval was conditioned on the staff report's listed requirements; county staff will complete recordation steps and any required notifications following the conditions of approval.
