The Minnesota House Ways and Means Committee on April 30 recommended Senate File 2077, as amended by language from House File 2439, for placement on the general register.
Chair Stevenson moved that Senate File 2077 be brought before the committee, that everything after the enacting clause be deleted and replaced with the text of House File 2439, and that the amended bill be recommended for placement on the general register. The committee approved the substitution and the motion by voice vote; members responded “aye” and no roll-call tally was recorded. The chair also instructed nonpartisan staff to make any technical changes necessary to reflect the committee’s will.
The action advances the environment bill to the next stage of the House process by placing it on the general register, where it can be considered by the full House. The committee record shows the language substitution and the recommendation to the general register were both adopted during the meeting.
No further debate on the merits of the amended language is recorded in the committee transcript. After this item the committee took up House File 841 on food assistance funding.
