Board authorizes county counsel to seek appeal in two lawsuits after closed session

County of San Diego: the board authorized counsel to file a petition for review in the California Supreme Court if the court of appeal denies the county's petition for rehearing in a challenge to the county's adoption of the county's 2022 Transportation Study Guide.
County Counsel read the report to the public during the April 23 session. The report noted the board met in closed session April 22 between 4:42 p.m. and 5:54 p.m., and that three supervisors were present for the actions; Supervisor Joel Desmond was recorded as absent for the closed session votes. The board made the two authorizations by recorded 3-0 votes.
