Caroline County proclaims April 26, 2025, as Celebrate Trails Day; event scheduled at Tuckahoe State Park

The Caroline County Board of Commissioners proclaimed April 26, 2025, as Celebrate Trails Day during the April 22 meeting and accepted an invitation to a regional trail event at Tuckahoe State Park.

Sue, a volunteer with the Eastern Shore Trails Network, presented the proclamation and described the network’s work to expand off-road trails and connect parks, schools and municipal centers across the Eastern Shore. The proclamation text recited at the meeting notes that trails increase access to outdoors activities, support active transportation, reduce traffic emissions and provide economic and health benefits to communities.
