The Richardson ISD Board of Trustees approved the meeting agenda and accepted a list of gifts from community groups during the session.
The board voted 7–0 to approve the meeting agenda. Later, trustees voted 7–0 to accept multiple gifts to district campuses and programs totaling $192,328, staff said. Gifts of $5,000 or more included: Lake Highlands PTA ($109,000), Mousehaven PTA ($48,000), M*** Park Elementary donation ($12,000), Prestonwood Elementary committee ($5,395) and West Rock Elementary ($4,700). The district also listed multiple smaller gifts under $5,000, and staff said the total for the month was $192,328.
Board policy requires documentation and reporting for gifts; staff told trustees that gifts are reported and subject to district review before expenditures are allowed. Trustees approved acceptance of the gifts without further amendment.
