Perryton ISD reports several resignations; board training status disclosed

Superintendent Greg informed the Perryton ISD board of a series of staff resignations and retirements and reported the statutorily required disclosure of board members’ training hours.
Personnel changes announced in open session included the resignations of Casey Schwack (GT teacher), Kaylee Palmer (math and robotics teacher), Joanna "Jojo" Perez (junior high health teacher and coach), Erica Hernandez (PHS business teacher), Diana Landeros (Ludy/Ludypenia science), Caitlin Dodson (Williams teacher), and Courtney Jenkins (PHS assistant principal). Greg noted Jenkins accepted a principal position at White Deer.
The superintendent also announced retirements and departures: Sharon Brown, warehouse manager (long service), and Daisy Smith, a longtime administrative staffer who is taking a position at Pantex. Greg praised departing staff and thanked them for their service.
Board training disclosure: Greg provided the routine report of board training completion required by law. He said nearly all trustees have completed required training; several trustees still needed to finish additional elective hours (the superintendent listed Jeff Schallenberger, Bryce Hale, Jed Simons, Veil, and Richard VA as needing to complete some hours). He highlighted that Board President Wes Beal has completed required training and Trustee Sarah Trigellis had exceeded required hours by 14.5 additional hours.
