Beaver County commissioners approve 27 contract resolutions, proclamation and routine business

Beaver County commissioners on Thursday approved a package of 27 county contract resolutions, adopted a proclamation naming May 4–10 National Correctional Officers Week in Beaver County and completed routine business including approval of meeting minutes, a human-resources personnel report, bid openings and authorization to pay the week’s bills.
The actions took place at the board’s April 24 public meeting in the Commissioners Public Meeting Room. Solicitor Fidelis told the board that the law department had reviewed the set of contract resolutions identified for the meeting and recommended approval. The board voted to approve the package of resolutions numbered 042425-01 through 042425-27.
The meeting also included formal votes to approve the April 10, 2025 public meeting minutes and two work-session minutes (April 9 and April 16, 2025), authorization to pay the week’s bills as presented by Controller Longo, approval of the human resources personnel report, and approval of bid openings listed in Attachment B. In each case the motions were moved and seconded on the record and carried by voice vote.
During the public-comment portion of the meeting, Diane Isaac, representing Scouting America, invited residents to a United Way volunteer event at Beaver Valley Mall and encouraged community volunteering. A county representative invited visitors to a courthouse tour after the meeting to learn about the judicial branch and noted Judge Faust would host a session in a courtroom following adjournment.
The board noted the next public meeting is scheduled for May 8, 2025, at 10 a.m. in the Commissioners Public Meeting Room.
