Las Vegas Civil Service Board approves minutes, certifies eligible lists and abolishes DPS communications list

The Las Vegas Board of Civil Service Trustees on April 23, 2025, approved the minutes of its April 9 meeting, certified eligible lists for several city job classifications and voted to abolish the eligible list for a Department of Public Safety communications specialist, the board said during a brief meeting at the City Clerk's Office.

The actions were taken at a meeting chaired by Chair Clemens; Vice Chair Brown was recorded as excused. Member Panachello moved to approve the final minutes of the April 9, 2025, meeting by reference; the motion passed with three ayes and no recorded opposition.

The board then certified eligible lists for the following open recruitments: court clerk (open), cultural coordinator (open), facilities project manager (open), heavy mechanic (open), motor sweeper operator (open) and project engineer (open). Member Stamper moved to approve item 5 as read; the motion passed with unanimous aye votes from the members present.

On item 6 the board voted to abolish the eligible list for the Department of Public Safety communications specialist. A motion to approve item 6 as read carried with aye votes and no recorded opposition.

There were no public comments during the portions of the agenda for public comment and citizens' participation. The board adjourned following the votes.
