Committee approves naming Airline High School baseball field for Coach Clay Bohannon

The presenter noted that Bohannon brought lights to the Airline baseball park in about 1980, allowing night games.
When asked whether Bohannon had won a state championship, presenters replied that he had not; one committee member noted the team reached the state finals in one season. The naming committee’s three options were reported as Clay Bohannon Field and Viking Complex; a third option was presented but not clearly recorded in the transcript.
