Allen said he had gone a full year previously without pay because of medical hardships and that the treatment he described raised “serious concerns regarding fairness and gender based discrimination.” He told the board he had retained an attorney and asked the district to “do the right thing” regarding a pending investigation he referenced on the record.
His remarks were made during the public‑comment portion of the board’s reorganization meeting.
