Votes at a glance: House actions during first special session

The House took several formal actions during the session. Record votes and outcomes below reflect the House record as read by the clerk.

- Adoption of journals (voice vote): Motion to adopt three House journals (dated March 11, March 21 and March 25, 2025) carried by voice vote; the record shows one member vocalized "nay" during the voice call but the clerk declared "the ayes have it." (voice vote)

- House Resolution 24-7 (honoring Peace Corps volunteers): Adopted by voice vote.

- Senate Joint Resolution 24-02 (to call a joint session to receive the governor's State of the Commonwealth address): Amended on the floor to set the convening date to May 30, 2025 at 10 a.m., and adopted by roll call. The clerk recorded 17 yes votes on the roll call.

- House Bill 24-8 (Public Land Trust / 1 CMC §2803 amendments): Passed on first and final reading as amended; roll-call vote recorded 17 yes.

- House Bill 24-20 (warning labels on betel nut products): Passed on first and final reading by roll call; clerk recorded 17 yes.

- House Bill 24-21 (joint oversight of incoming nonlocal transfers): Passed on first and final reading by roll call; clerk recorded 17 yes.

For each recorded roll call the clerk announced "all 17 members present voted yes."
