Lake County commissioners adopt resolution approving county manager appointment

The Lake County Board of County Commissioners on April 15 adopted Resolution 2025-13 approving the appointment of Candice Bridal as county manager.

The vote followed a motion by Board member (speaker 2), “I move to adopt resolution 20 25 dash 13, a resolution approving of the appointment of county manager,” which Board member (speaker 1) seconded. The board recorded two affirmative votes and the resolution was adopted.

The action implements the board’s authority under Colorado Revised Statutes 30-11-107 to appoint a county manager, and follows the board’s 2015 creation of the county administrator position by Resolution 2015-32, adopted Nov. 2, 2015. According to remarks during the meeting, the board publicly posted finalists pursuant to Colorado Revised Statutes 24-6-402. The board’s remarks also state that on April 15, 2025, it announced the selection of Candice Bridal for the county manager position.

Human Resources Director Zoe Bergstrom and County Attorney Chris Floyd were named during the meeting as staff who assisted with the selection process. Meeting comments noted that the county received many applicants and that staff support made the process possible. The board directed the chair and others to sign the employment documents and exhibits; participants discussed recording the signed resolution and the employment exhibit.
