San Francisco outlines multi‑pronged strategy for people living in RVs and other vehicles

McFadden said the number of people living in vehicles rose 37% since 2022 to an estimated 1,444 households in the 2024 point‑in‑time count; the March 2025 Healthy Streets Operations Center count identified 472 occupied oversized vehicles. She said those occupied vehicles are geographically concentrated: 55% in District 10 and 25% in District 7.
