Engineering report: Springfield plant decommissioning, SRF payment outstanding, condemnation proceedings ongoing

Thompson showed photos and said "the aeration basin, clarifier and, 1 of the lagoons at that facility have been, completely removed and taken out of of service." He said the agency met with NDE related to the decommissioning and that the agency had no substantial negative feedback from the regulator.
Other engineering and operations highlights
- SRF loan final payment: Thompson said staff are working to close out the SRF loan and that "it's about 2 and a half million dollars that, we still have sitting out there" pending additional paperwork and final payment from NDE.
- Condemnation proceedings: Thompson said agency counsel and consultants have been deposing expert witnesses in condemnation hearings for two property owners and that the agency expects to report more information when confidentiality allows.
- Master service agreements: Staff are preparing master service agreement drafts with Bellevue and Papillion to supplement the existing agreement with Springfield and the MOU with Sarpy County. The agreements aim to let member cities receive service promptly as development occurs.
- Flow metering and monitoring: The agency's contract with RJN Engineering for flow metering services is being implemented; staff are bringing the software platform online for flow monitoring and oversight.
