800 Holman Way (City of Sparks master plan amendment) Staff presented a conformance review for a City of Sparks master-plan amendment affecting a 5.99-acre parcel at the northeast corner of Pyramid Highway and Holman Way. Nate Kucha of TMRPA said the proposal changes the site’s land-use designation from commercial to tourist commercial and resolves an existing nonconforming use: a nonrestricted gaming establishment on the parcel that dates to 1979. TMRPA staff recommended the amendment conforms with the 2024 Truckee Meadows Regional Plan. After no public comment, commissioners moved and approved the staff recommendation unanimously.
