The Quincy City Board of License Commissioners approved an internal reorganization for Quincy Market Lawn Corporation, doing business as Quincy Market, that transfers 100% of stock interest to Komal Patel and appoints James Cucinato as the on-site manager for the premises at 33 Washington Street.
Sydney Progos, attorney representing Quincy Market Lawn Corporation, told the board the business consists of four partners and that one partner, Komal Patel, is buying out the others to become the sole shareholder and take the offices of president, treasurer and secretary. Progos said the change is internal and “nothing would change regarding the external business operations. No business hours changes, no location, just some internal movement.”
Progos said the proposed manager, James Cucinato, is on-site at least 40 hours a week and “he's also alcohol-tip certified,” statements the board accepted as assurances that on-site management and staff training meet city expectations. The board recorded no objections and approved the requested changes by voice vote; no roll-call tally appeared in the meeting transcript.
The approval covers the change of officers and stock interest for the licensed premises at 33 Washington Street; any future changes to operating hours, location, or licensed activities would require further review by the board.
