Committee keeps current occupants for positions 4 and 5 and elects vice chair by unanimous ballot

On April 28 the Kenosha Committee on Public Safety and Welfare voted to retain the current occupants of committee positions 4 and 5 for the remainder of the year by unanimous ballot, and then elected the committee vice chair for the 2025–26 term by unanimous ballot.
Alvin Hallager moved for a unanimous ballot to keep the elected positions of 4 and 5 as they are for the remainder of the year; the motion was seconded and approved by voice vote. The committee then considered election of the vice chairperson for the 2025–26 term; members discussed precedents for two-year council terms and noted there is no requirement to reappoint annually. After discussion, the committee moved and seconded the vice-chair election and approved it by voice vote; the chair recorded an affirmative vote.
Committee members said the intent is to preserve continuity unless someone brings forward a procedural change. No contested nominations or roll-call tallies were recorded in the committee record for April 28.
