Glendale Elementary School District board adopts agenda, approves consent items and schedules May 8 meeting

The Glendale Elementary School District (4271) Board of Education on April 24 adopted its meeting agenda, approved the consent agenda and set its next regular meeting for May 8, Board President Mike Martinez said. The board voted 3-0 on both the agenda and the consent agenda; no public comments were offered during the meeting.

The board met with President Mike Martinez and board members Brenda Bartels and Monica Pimentel participating by phone; two members were absent. Martinez said the board "has enough for a quorum" and called the meeting to order. The meeting opened with a moment of silence followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.

There were no calls to the public during the allotted public comment period. The board took up the consent agenda and approved it on a motion by Bartels, seconded by Pimentel; the board recorded aye votes from Pimentel, Bartels and the chair. The board made no substantive policy decisions or new appointments during the session.

District staff noted that the board will continue with its May 8 meeting; no substantive updates were presented at the April 24 meeting. President Martinez formally recognized and congratulated Mr. Jaramillo on the birth of his second child.

The board adjourned after a motion to adjourn from Bartels, seconded by Pimentel; the motion passed by unanimous voice vote. The meeting contained routine governance actions and no contested items or formal debates requiring further board action.
