The Senate Finance Committee on April 22 recommended Senate Resolution 68 for passage, designating June 12, 2025, as Women’s Veterans Appreciation Day.
Senator Massey introduced the resolution, telling the committee, “This is a resolution that we actually passed as an SJR, but it couldn't get taken care of in the house. So it's a Senate resolution honoring women's veterans appreciation day on 06/12/2025.” The motion was moved and properly seconded and, following no further discussion, committee members voiced their approval.
The measure was recommended for passage to the committee on the calendar. The recommendation is honorary and does not create new statutory obligations or appropriations.
The committee moved on to its next agenda items after completing the vote and other business for the day.
