Valley County workshops Perpetua road-mitigation plan; questions remain on baseline, guarantees and winter access

Valley County commissioners and representatives of Perpetua held a workshop April 21 to discuss a proposed road-mitigation agreement tied to the Stibnite mine project, focusing on baseline road-condition assessment, an annual mitigation payment for routine wear, a corporate financial guarantee for excessive damage, and winter access and safety measures.

The discussion centered on Warm Lake Road (Johnson Creek access) and related routes that Perpetua expects to use for construction and operations. "I'm Sherry Moppin.
