Rules Committee advances ABAG reappointments for supervisors Mandelman and Dorsey

The Rules Committee on April 21 recommended forwarding reappointments of two supervisors to the Association of Bay Area Governments (ABAG) Executive Board.
The committee voted unanimously to recommend Supervisor Rafael Mandelman for reappointment to ABAG's Executive Board, for a term ending June 30, 2027, or the conclusion of his Board term. The committee later voted unanimously to recommend Supervisor Matt Dorsey for reappointment to the same ABAG seat with the same term specification.
Both items had no public commenters and drew no substantive questions from committee members. For the item concerning Supervisor Mandelman, the committee briefly considered excusing the vice chair from participation on that item before moving the nomination forward. In both cases, Chair Shamone Walton moved to forward the supervisor's name with a positive recommendation, and the motions passed without objection.
The recommended reappointments will be transmitted to the full Board of Supervisors for final action on the Board agenda.
