Gray said the agency allocated 400 scholarships within the fiscal year for a total of $375,512.42 (covering summer 2024, fall 2024, spring 2025 and an estimate for summer 2025). The board approved the scholarship summary by roll call.
The board then approved K‑12 lottery grant awards (FY 2026 K‑12 awards, $15,000 per award for equipment and innovative purchases) and technology-center lottery recipients (noncompetitive $100,000 grants and competitive $50,000 grants) after staff described program categories and scoring procedures. Gray said the lottery grants are scored by divisions (for example, ag grants scored by the ag division) and that lottery funds are distributed as 45% for technology-center grants, 45% for K‑12 grants and 10% for lottery scholarships. Motions and roll-call votes passed for both the K‑12 and technology-center grant lists.
