The Cap Metro Board of Directors on April 21 approved a package of service changes to take effect in August 2025, including an extension of the Night Owl Route 483 to Austin-Bergstrom International Airport and a consolidation of two University of Texas shuttle routes to improve frequency.
Jordan McGee, a senior planner in CapMetro's planning department, outlined the proposed adjustments and the agency's engagement and equity review. "The proposed alignment maintains connectivity, serves existing ridership hotspots, and continues east along Riverside to connect to the airport," McGee said, describing the Night Owl extension.
Route 483 Night Owl currently runs midnight to 3 a.m. Monday through Saturday.
