Commissioners select Magnum Construction as construction manager at risk for DAB building renovation

The Wagoner County Board voted Monday to authorize staff to enter negotiations with Magnum Construction to serve as construction manager at risk for renovation of the county-owned DAB building.
Darla Heller, economic development, told commissioners the county issued a request for qualifications for a construction-manager-at-risk delivery method for the DAB building renovation. Four firms submitted qualifications; the county's review committee (Commissioner Stamps, County Clerk Gloria Hendrix, Kathy Smith and Heller) interviewed all four and scored them on experience and delivery-method knowledge. Heller said the committee was unanimous that Magnum Construction scored highest.
Commissioners moved to accept the committee recommendation and authorize staff to enter negotiations and a contract with Magnum Construction. The motion was made by Commissioner Tim and seconded by Commissioner Randy; the board approved the motion by roll call.
Heller said the next steps are to enter into agreement negotiations and proceed with contract execution once terms are settled.
