At the May 1 Woodland Park City Council meeting, councilors approved several routine and quasi-judicial items, including approval of the April 17 meeting minutes, the appointment of Ryan Skaieski to the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board, and issuance of a new hotel and restaurant liquor license to Sofia—s Antojitos 3 LLC (doing business as Sofia—s Antojitos) for a proposed location at 727 Gold Hill Place South.
The council voted unanimously to appoint Ryan Skaieski, an attorney and Woodland Park resident of about three years, to one of two open seats on the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board. Skaieski told council he works in criminal law locally, is an avid mountain biker and hiker, and said he wants to help increase public awareness of the city—s trails and open space. Suzanne LeClaire, the city clerk, administered the oath of office at the meeting.
The council also conducted a public hearing and unanimously approved a new hotel and restaurant liquor license for Sofia—s Antojitos 3 LLC, the applicant for a restaurant at the former Montanera Italian Kitchen site. City staff reported the applicant submitted a needs-and-desires petition with 35 verified signatures and that all applicable fees were paid.
Additionally the council approved the minutes from the April 17 meeting and other consent items. All recorded votes for these items were unanimous.
